The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that renovation works have officially commenced at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMA) in Lagos, signaling a period of improvement aimed at enhancing passenger experience.

In a travel advisory released on Friday, FAAN urged all passengers to exercise patience and cooperate with new operational guidelines designed to ensure smooth transit despite ongoing construction activities.

To avoid travel disruptions, passengers are advised to leave for the airport earlier than usual.

“We kindly request that passengers leave early for the airport to avoid missing their flights,” the advisory stated, highlighting the potential for delays due to construction-related adjustments.

FAAN further underscored the importance of obeying all traffic instructions designed to ease vehicle movement in and around the airport.

“Please ensure that your vehicles are parked properly at the car park to avoid congestion,” the notice added.

In addition, the authority stressed that only travelers should visit the airport during this period due to limited space available on site.

“We urge that only travelers come to the airport as there is limited space available due to the renovation works,” said FAAN.

“We appreciate your cooperation and understanding at this period.

“We shall continue to serve you better,” the authority concluded, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing airport facilities and passenger services.
