FAAN reveals agencies to report airport issues to

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has called on air travelers to identify the relevant airport authorities and stakeholders related to any issues before making a report.
In an advisory graphic released by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah, and shared on the Authority’s social media platforms on Sunday, FAAN underscored that understanding which agencies to approach will facilitate quicker resolutions and enhance service quality.
The advisory also reminded the public that while the authority is responsible for constructing and maintaining airport infrastructure as well as ensuring safety and security, the operations of airports involve a collaborative effort among various agencies and private partners.
The advisory identifies the key agencies under the Ministry of Aviation that passengers should consider contacting when voicing their concerns:
– Airline Operators.
– Business owners—concessionaires.
– Ground Handlers & Service Providers.
– Security Agencies.
FAAN stated that passengers who report delays, lost luggage, commercial disagreements, or security issues to the appropriate agency are more likely to get prompt responses compared to those who make general reports.
The authority also urged travelers to utilize official government and airline channels for their complaints and inquiries to prevent delays and misinformation.
FAAN said, “Next time an issue comes up, always check which agency or stakeholder is responsible—it helps you get faster solutions and better service!”
