The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has unveiled designated locations for the public to collect Go-Cashless cards, as the country gears up for a mandatory shift to digital payments in all government operations.

In a statement issued Friday by Henry Agbebire, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, the agency detailed immediate access points.

“Members of the public can obtain their Go-Cashless cards at all FAAN commercial offices and access gates nationwide immediately,” Agbebire said.

He added that cards would also be available at select Fidelity Bank Plc branches starting March 16, 2026.

The move supports a Federal Government directive pushing Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) toward a fully cashless system.

This aims to boost transparency, curb revenue leakages, and enable better tracking of transactions.

FAAN emphasised its dedication to the policy, stating it “reiterates its commitment to full compliance with the directive and appeals to the public for their understanding and cooperation during the transition period.”

The statement affirmed that cards remain available beyond the March 1 deadline at these spots.

Airport users can expect smoother operations, with FAAN assuring that the cards will deliver “faster, safer, and more convenient transactions across its airports nationwide.”
