The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) marked its 30th anniversary with a landmark public lecture at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, Yaba, Lagos, drawing dignitaries, Islamic scholars, and thousands of online viewers in a celebration of faith, service, and visionary leadership.

NASFAT President, AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, opened the event by reflecting on the society’s transformation from a small prayer group to a global Islamic organization with over 360 branches, 28 primary schools, 8 secondary schools, 5 hospitals, and the renowned Fountain University.

AbdulRauf emphasised NASFAT’s guiding principles: “Our mission is not just about expansion but about moral elevation. Our growth reflects divine favour and disciplined stewardship,” he stated.

Delivering the keynote address, former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, challenged faith communities to bridge the gap between religious profession and moral conduct.

“The real test of religion is not attendance in worship centers but in how we apply its teachings in public and private life,” Fashola declared, calling for ethical leadership and transformative investment in education and digital entrepreneurship.

The event featured prominent figures including Dr. Wale Babalakin, SAN, former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, and representatives of the Vice President and state governments, underscoring NASFAT’s national influence.

The spiritual tone was set by Chief Missioner Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, with prayers and reflections from leading Islamic scholars.

The meticulously organized celebration, chaired by Alhaji Kayode Isiak Oshinuga, reaffirmed NASFAT’s pivotal role in shaping a morally upright, spiritually sound, and empowered Muslim society.
