FG declares electricity sector prime investment opportunity

In a keynote address in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Minister of Finance, Wale Edun emphasised Nigeria’s electricity sector as a key investment opportunity ahead of the Mission300 African Energy Summit.
Edun outlined Nigeria’s commitment to macroeconomic stability and clean energy goals, aiming for universal energy access.
According to the statement obtained from the Ministry of Finance on Monday, President Bola Tinubu is also participating to foster collaboration on Africa’s energy transition, highlighting the importance of private sector investment in achieving these ambitious targets.
The statement reads, “The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, has delivered the keynote address at an exclusive dinner in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, ahead of the #Mission300 African Energy Summit.
“Addressing selected investors and development partners on Sunday evening, the Honourable Minister highlighted Nigeria’s electricity sector as a prime opportunity for investment, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to macroeconomic stability, clean energy goals, and achieving universal energy access under the “Mission 300” initiative.
“President Bola Tinubu is participating in the Summit to drive collaborative efforts on energy access and Africa’s clean energy transition.“
