The Federal Ministry of Education has issued a strong warning against a false message circulating on social media, which claims that schools nationwide will be closed starting 24th November 2025.

The Ministry in a statement on Saturday signed by Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press and Public Relations clarified that this information, “is false, misleading, and did not originate from the Federal Government, the Federal Ministry of Education, any State Ministry of Education or any recognised security agency.”

The Ministry urges the public to “rely strictly on verified information issued through official channels,” including the Federal Government, State Governments, and recognised security agencies.

It further cautioned that “any announcement, advisory, or notice coming from unofficial or unverified sources should be ignored and not shared.”

In a clear call to action, the Ministry advised members of the public to “always verify the authenticity of information before circulating it in order to curb the spread of misinformation.”

The Ministry of Education, reaffirming the government’s commitment to accurate communication and public safety.
