FG engages Thales to accelerate aviation radar modernisation

That Minister of Finance, Wale Edun on Thursday, met with a delegation from French aviation contractor Thales at the Finance Headquarters in Abuja to discuss the urgent modernisation of Nigeria’s radar system.
This initiative as it was gathered by a post shared by the ministry of finance via it social media handle on Thursday evening, aims to enhance aviation infrastructure, ensuring improved safety and efficiency in air travel, which is vital for economic growth.
It reads, “The Honourable Minister of Finance Mr. Wale Edun, held discussions at Finance HQ today with a delegation from French aviation contractor Thales to expedite Nigeria’s Radar System modernization.
“Modernizing the radar system is seen as a critical investment to enhance the nations aviation infrastructure, with broader economic benefits tied to improved safety and efficiency in air travel.”
Key Thales officials, including Finance Manager Aprelon Anthony and Sales Manager De Latour Simon, participated in the discussions, highlighting the collaborative effort to secure a modernised radar system for Nigeria’s aviation sector.
