Almost 390 former Boko Haram members have completed the federal government’s De-radicalisation, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration (DRR) programme in Gombe State.

During the graduation ceremony, Colonel Sunday Makollo, representing Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Musa, highlighted the participants’ positive transformation and successful reintegration process since their arrival at the camp in July 2024.

Makollo in a video shared by AIT underscored that the government’s approach of addressing insurgency through non-violent means, in addition to military operations, has shown promising results in the North-East region.

He reiterated the military’s commitment to restoring peace and security across the country, urging the graduates to promote peace in their communities and remain loyal to their country by honouring the pledge they made during the programme.
