The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has declared a temporary closure of its recruitment portal, only two days after it was launched for applications.

The portal, which is responsible for the recruitment of personnel for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Fire Service (NFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), has been taken offline to “enhance the effectiveness of its system,” as stated in a release issued by AM Jubril, Secretary to the Board.

The statement elaborates, “As part of effort to optimise the efficiency of its system, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) announces that the portal (recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng) dedicated for the recruitment into its paramilitary agencies has been temporarily suspended.

“The portal will be available again from Monday, July 21st, 2025.

“This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.

“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies and are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.”
