The Federal Government has launched the Interior Electronic Records and Archival System (INTERAS), an Enterprise Content Management System designed to advance Nigeria’s digital governance in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision.

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a post shared on X disclosed that the launch took place in the presence of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, alongside top government officials from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

He explained that INTERAS will replace the ministry’s old paper-filing system and builds on earlier automation projects under the Renewed Hope administration, including passport applications, visa processing, landing/exit cards, and CERPAC administration.

He wrote, “To my team led by the Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani, and Directors of various departments, I acknowledge your efforts and sacrifices in making this launch yet another success.”

He further expressed optimism that the new system will be used transparently and judiciously to enhance operations and better serve Nigerians.
