In a significant move to enhance collaboration between the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Minister of State for Finance, Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite, paid a working visit to the CBN headquarters on Tuesday.

According to a statement from the Central Bank of Nigeria on Wednesday, Uzoka-Anite was warmly received by senior CBN officials, including the Deputy Governor of Economic Policy, Dr Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, and the Deputy Governor of Financial System Stability, Phillip Ikeazor.

The visit underscores the ongoing efforts to foster closer cooperation on economic and financial policies that will drive national growth.

The CBN emphasised that this engagement was “in a bid to seek closer collaboration with the Bank,” highlighting the importance of synergy between the finance ministry and the central bank in stabilizing and advancing Nigeria’s economic agenda.

This meeting is expected to pave the way for coordinated efforts in addressing economic challenges and driving sustainable financial policies in the country.
