FIRS launches weekend service window to boost taxpayer support

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has officially commenced its weekend service window for taxpayers starting June 14, 2025. 

This initiative will run every weekend until Sunday, June 29, 2025, aiming to enhance accessibility and support for taxpayers during this peak period.

In a memo shared on social media, the FIRS expressed gratitude to taxpayers, saying,

“‪The weekend service window commenced on June 14, 2025 and will continue every weekend till Sunday June 29, 2025‬. 

‪”We appreciate your dedication and commitment to supporting the Service in achieving its mandate during this peak period.‬”

This move is expected to ease the tax filing process and provide more flexible service hours to accommodate taxpayers’ schedules.
