The suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appeared in public for the first time on Sunday, following his suspension from office.
Fubara attended a church service at the headquarters of Salvation Ministries in GRA, Port Harcourt, alongside his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie.
His presence at the service marks his first outing since President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State on Tuesday, March 18.
Tinubu while declaring the state of emergency in a national broadcast, cited lengthened political instability, constitutional breaches, and security threats as reasons for the extraordinary measure.
Tinubu thereby sworn- in the sole administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Étè Ibas (retd.), into office, on March 19.
