Fuel tanker explosion leads to severe traffic jam on Ibadan expressway

On Tuesday, a fuel tanker caught fire on the Ibadan Expressway in Oyo State, situated between the Oremeji and Olorunsogo areas, resulting in significant traffic congestion and alarm among drivers.
As of the latest updates, no injuries had been reported, but the fire continued to burn, with emergency teams actively working to control the situation.
The Oyo State Fire Service quickly responded to the incident.
Akinyemi Akinyinka, the agency’s General Manager, confirmed that firefighting crews were sent to the location.
