Boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has mourned the loss of his brothers while expressing gratitude for the support he’s received.

In an emotional post on Thursday, Joshua reflected on the profound impact his brothers had on his life, revealing a newfound appreciation for their greatness amid his grief.

“Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers. I didn’t even realise how special they are.

“I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men,” he wrote.

The 37-year-old athlete, known for his resilience in the ring, opened up about the personal toll of the tragedy.

“100% it’s tough for me, but I know it’s even tougher for their parents ❤️ I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers,” Joshua added, underscoring his faith and empathy for his family.

Fans and fellow fighters flooded social media with messages of condolence, praising Joshua’s strength.

Dailyeconomy on December 29 reported that Joshua escaped with minor injuries after a horrific road accident on the bustling Lagos-Ibadan Expressway that claimed the lives of his pals.

Joshua on January 5, after being discharged from hospital attended the emotional funeral of his close friends Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Kevin Ayodele, at London Central Mosque and Hendon Cemetery, following their deaths in a tragic car crash in Nigeria.
