The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Daju Kachollom, has called on Heads of Agencies and Federal Tertiary Health Institutions under the Ministry to prioritise projects and programs that align with the government’s immediate objectives for the 2025 capital budget.
Kachollom conveyed this directive during the launch of a two-day stakeholder workshop in Abuja focused on the 2024 budget performance and the preparation of the 2025 budget.
This was disclosed in a statement shared by the Federal Ministry of Health.
“She explained that the workshop’s goal was to establish a strategic and effective budgeting process, ensuring that priority projects in the health sector align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration and are adequately reflected in budget allocations.
“Kachollom also stressed the need for cost-efficiency, urging participants to ensure that projects and programs are managed effectively to deliver value for money, in line with the Ministry’s vision,” the statement reads.
