I consult herbalist, not Google for facts – Sowore

The 2023 Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has addressed the claims that he possesses dual citizenship.
While featuring in a recent episode of ‘The Curiosity Made Me Ask’ show hosted by Bae U Barbie, Sowore noted that he doesn’t have dual citizenship urging the interviewer to do research before asking questions.
After Bae U claimed that he has done a lot of research about him on Google, it indicated that Sowore has dual citizenship.
Reacting to the claim, Sowore revealed that he consults herbalists to verify information and not search engines like Google, urging that researchers should make use of culture (Orunmila) to avoid false information.
“Do you think this is fair? You are leading protest with people that don’t have dual citizenship like you do; people that cannot run away to another country if something goes wrong like you can,” Bae U asked.
Responding Sowore said, “Dual citizenship means that I am a citizen of another country and Nigeria. You need new research on people on your show just like I need new campaign managers. Do you know why? I don’t have dual citizenship. I’m Nigerian by birth and that’s the only passport I have. But you didn’t do your research.”
Following Bae U said, “I actually know that you have only Nigerian citizenship but people don’t know. Check Google, it says there that you have a dual citizenship.”
Sowore replied, “Why are you using Google? Even I don’t use Google. I use herbalists for serious matters. You saw me in Abuja with a herbalist in court. So let’s go back to our culture. What they call Google now, is what Yorubas call Orunmila. It will tell you better things than Google.”
