IGP appoints Hundeyin as new Force Public Relations Officer

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has officially appointed CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), a position critical in shaping the public image and communications of the Nigerian Police Force.
CSP Hundeyin comes with a robust academic and professional background.
He holds a BA (Hons) in English Language from Lagos State University and an MSc in Legal Criminology & Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
His professional credentials include a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre in Jaji, Kaduna.
He is also affiliated with several prestigious organisations, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
A seasoned communicator, CSP Hundeyin has significant experience in policing public relations, having previously served as the Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Lagos and for the Lagos State Police Command.
Notably, he was part of the Nigerian contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID) in 2020, showcasing his international peacekeeping and communication skills.
On the appointment, IGP Egbetokun charged CSP Hundeyin “to leverage on his communications and security experience to bolster the Force Public Relations activities and ensure continuous positive relations with the public.”
The outgoing Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, extended his best wishes to CSP Hundeyin as he steps into the vital role of FPRO at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
