Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has publicly apologised amid widespread backlash over an insensitive question she posed to content creator Imisi during her birthday celebration.

In a heartfelt video circulating on social media, Blessing addressed the controversy head-on, expressing deep regret for her words that many deemed hurtful.

“I sincerely want to apologise to anybody who got offended by the question I asked Imisi at her party,” she said.

“If you find my question offensive, I am very sorry. Please find a place in your heart to forgive me.”

The actress lamented trending for the “wrong reasons,” insisting her intent was never to cause pain.

She explained holding back initially to avoid “chasing clout” or escalating online drama.

Blessing also touched on her personal history with her late mother, noting that close acquaintances would understand her perspective, though she quickly clarified: “I don’t want to make excuses for myself.”

“I am very sorry if you found my question offensive,” she reiterated, urging fans to forgive her misstep.
