Suspended Juventus midfielder and France national team player, Paul Pogba, has affirmed his dedication to football, despite rumours of his retirement circulating on social media.
Following a four-year ban for testing positive for DHEA in August 2023, there have been doubts about his ability to return to the football considering his age.
However, the 31-year-old player addressed these speculations in an interview with Sky Sports after attending France’s Euro 2024 match against Belgium, stating, “I’m still a football player. Don’t look at that stuff saying I’m retiring, I’m finished. I want to fight for my career, and I’m optimistic.
“I’m not finished. I’m training hard! I’m still 100% footballer, I can’t wait to return to the pitch.”
Paul Pogba has won both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League with two different clubs. He won the Europa League with Manchester United in the 2016/17 season. Prior to that, he won the Champions League with Juventus in the 2014/15 season.
