Nigerian singer, Adekunle Kosoko alias Adekunle Gold, has spoken out against the alarming rise in violence against women, urging men to take a stand against abuse and redefine masculinity.
His comments came in the wake of the tragic murder of a student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Christianah Idowu, who was allegedly killed by her friend, Ayomide Adeleye.
In a heartfelt post on social media, Adekunle Gold underscored the significance of accountability among men, noting that true strength lies not in hush but in standing up against friends who abuse, rape, or demean women.
However, he ceased his message with the hashtag #JusticeforChristianah, soliciting justice for the slain student.
He wrote, “Men, true strength is not about staying silent but about standing up to your friends who abuse, rape, or demean women. Let’s redefine masculinity by holding each other accountable. #JusticeforChristianah.”
