Kano Transport Ministry visits Lagos on fact-finding mission

The Kano State Commissioner for Transportation, Ibrahim Namadi, has recently led a delegation on a fact-finding mission to Lagos State to gain insights into its transportation infrastructure and network advancements.
During their visit, the team toured several key facilities, including the Ikeja Bus Terminal, the Red Line Ikeja Station, and the Blue Line.
The delegation included the Permanent Secretary, Aliyu Isa, Director of Admin and General Services, Ministry of Transportation, Bashir Ado Gaya, Technical Advisor, Transport Policy and Planning, Nura Ibrahim Hassan and the Transport Specialist Consultant, Najeeb Mahmoud Abdussalam.
The visit was made known in a statement on Tuesday, via the X (formally Twitter) handle of the Lagos Governors’ Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawat.
It reads, “Hon. Ibrahim Namadi, Kano State Commissioner of Transportation, led a delegation on a fact-finding mission to Lagos State to learn from its advancements in transportation infrastructure and network.
“The team: Hon. Aliyu Isa (Permanent Secretary), Bashir Ado Gaya (Director of Admin and General Services, Ministry of Transportation), Dr. Nura Ibrahim Hassan (Technical Advisor, Transport Policy and Planning), and Najeeb Mahmoud Abdussalam (Transport Specialist Consultant), toured key facilities such as the Ikeja Bus Terminal, the Red Line Ikeja Station, and the Blue Line.
“The delegation was received by the Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), Engr. Mrs Abimbola Akinajo who briefed them on the agency’s activities.
“The Strategic Transport Master Plan (STMP) developed under the leadership of then-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, now President of Nigeria, and how subsequent governors have maintained this blueprint till date.”
