Katsina commences N1.56bn compensation for households affected by road expansion

The Katsina Local Government Area has begun the disbursement of ₦1.56 billion in compensation to households affected by the dual carriageway expansion project around the Water Board Roundabout.
Council Chairman, Isah Miqdad, made this known in a post shared on his X handle.
He wrote, “Yesterday, I attended the official flag-off ceremony to pay compensation worth N1.56 billion to households affected by the dual carriageway expansion project of the Water Board Roundabout–Kofar Sauri Road–Central Mosque Roundabout in Katsina Local Government.
“This project, led by Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, represents part of the Katsina State Government’s Urban Renewal Programme, aimed at modernizing the state capital and easing traffic congestion across the city.”
