The Kogi State Police Command, alongside military units and supported by Nigeria Police Force Airwing precision strikes, has neutralised scores of bandits, dislodged their networks, and flushed others out of Kogi forests during ongoing operations.

CSP William Ovye Aya, Police Public Relations Officer for the Kogi State Police Command, announced the successes in a statement released on Sunday.

The operations, executed with “vigor, commitment, and utmost professionalism,” have significantly disrupted bandit activities across the region.

“SCORES OF BANDITS NEUTRALIZED, THEIR NETWORK DISLODGED AND OTHERS FLUSHED OUT OF KOGI FOREST IN THE ONGOING OPERATIONS BY THE JOINT POLICE AND MILITARY AND SUPPORTED BY THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE AIRWING COMPONENTS,” Aya stated in the press release.

He highlighted the fruitful results of the “ongoing onslaught against bandit operations,” urging residents to remain vigilant.

The command advised the public to watch for individuals with bullet wounds, injuries, or suspicious behavior and report them to the nearest police station.

Aya emphasised collective effort, noting, “The public are urged to support the ongoing operations with credible information about criminal elements seen around the neighborhood. Noting that security is a shared responsibility, together we can make Nigeria better.”
