The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has vehemently denied recent reports by Sahara Reporters claiming that the governor acquired a new property worth 400 million naira on AbdulRazaq Road, GRA.

In a statement released on Thursday by Ibraheem Abdullateef, Special Adviser on Communications, the governor described the claims as “FAKE NEWS” and condemned the attempt to associate the alleged property purchase with security issues as “malicious.”

The statement emphasises that if Governor AbdulRazaq wished to purchase property, he is financially capable of doing so in his private capacity, having become a billionaire in his 20s.

However, the governor insists that the reported acquisition “does not exist” and urged the public “to disregard this false news.”

Further reinforcing the denial, Otunba Olusola Adekanola, the accountant who was purportedly involved in the sale, issued a disclaimer clarifying that no such transaction took place.

However, AbdulRazaq’s communication office calls on the public and media outlets to exercise caution and verify facts before circulating unverified claims.
