Kwara gov drums support for Taiwo Awoniyi, wishes him speedy recovery

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed heartfelt support for Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi following his recent serious injury.
Awoniyi was placed in an induced coma after emergency surgery in the UK due to a ruptured intestine sustained during a Premier League match against Leicester City, Dailyeconomy reports.
The Governor in remark via his X (formally Twitter) handle said, “I join millions of football lovers around the world in wishing Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest star @taiwoawoniyi18, a successful recovery following his recent injury.
“Taiwo is more than just a footballer, he is a proud son of Kwara State who continues to give back generously to the community that raised him. His unwavering connection to home is inspiring, and we look forward to seeing him return to the pitch stronger than ever.
“Get well soon, dear brother and valued citizen. Kwara stands with you!”
