Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Friday assured that his administration will provide support to families impacted by the recent violent attacks within the state.
In a statement shared on X by the Senior Special Adviser on Communications, the governor expressed his empathy and commitment to aid the victims.
According to the adviser, “Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Friday said the government will support families of affected persons in the recent attacks in the state as another token of acknowledgement of their grief and losses – human and material.”
This pledge underscores the administration’s recognition of the severe human and material suffering endured by the affected communities.
AbdulRazaq on Thursday visited Oke Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area alongside security commanders and top government officials to reaffirm the government’s ongoing support and express solidarity with affected communities amid renewed efforts to protect lives and properties.
At least 15 bandits/kidnappers were reportedly neutralised by combined government security forces after a fierce gun battle on Monday night.
This operation took place near the Kogi border with Kwara State and was in response to the unfortunate incident at Oke Ode on Sunday.
