Kwara gov rewards outstanding WAEC student with N1m

In a move to recognise and encourage academic excellence, the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has awarded the sum of N1m to Shalom Adesina, the best-performing student in the 2023 West African Examination Council exams from the state.

Adesina, a student of Rehoboth College, Pipeline, Ilorin, scored distinctions in all the subjects he sat for in the examination.

According to the press release on Sunday by the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, the governor was represented by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, who presented the cash award yesterday, during a meeting held at the Ministry’s conference Hall, Ilorin on Saturday.
