The Lagos State Government has begun paying compensation funds to residents of Oworonshoki whose houses were recently demolished.
According to reports, affected landlords are receiving payments ranging from ₦2 million to ₦5 million, depending on the type and size of their property.
Government officials said the exercise is being carried out strictly for individuals whose structures were verified and duly enumerated prior to the demolition.
The compensation initiative is intended to provide financial relief and support resettlement efforts for families displaced by the ongoing redevelopment activities in the area.
