Lagos boosts flood prevention with maintenance of key areas drain collector

The operatives from the Drainage Maintenance Department under the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources carried out thorough cleaning of the Akanimodo/Ajelogo/Mile 12 Trapezoidal Drain Collector in Kosofe Local Government Area.

This proactive move aims to prevent flooding in the area and ensure a cleaner, safer Lagos.

The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared the update on X, underscoring the ongoing commitment to maintaining critical drainage infrastructure as part of the #CleanerLagos initiatives.

“Operatives of Drainage Maintenance Department from Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources continued with the maintenance cleaning of Akanimodo/Ajelogo/Mile 12 Trapezoidal Drain Collector, Kosofe LGA on Sunday 10/08/2025 in order to prevent flooding in the axis,” Wahab had written.
