The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced that the Drainage Enforcement and Compliance (DEC) team has removed illegal structures along Ologborogan Olusesi Street, off Orchid Road in Eti-Osa.

This operation, according to Wahab is part of ongoing efforts to reduce flooding in the area.

In a statement on Wednesday, Wahab emphasised the urgency of the action, stating, “These structures, built illegally on drainage alignments, significantly impede the free flow of stormwater and contribute to recurrent flooding. Their removal is critical to protecting lives and properties in the community.”
