Lagos discovers illegal settlement under bridge

The Lagos State Government through the State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources has discovered an illegal settlement under the Sheraton-Opebi link bridge.
The squatters were discovered according to the State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab when his ministry commenced clearance of miscreants in the area on Tuesday.
He wrote, “Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources commenced clearance of miscreants and illegal squatters under Sheraton-Opebi link bridge where illegal settlement was discovered.”
Dailyeconomy on Friday, September 6, reported that the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office has ordered the closure of public toilet facilities at Marina Car Park, Lagos Island, due to the negative impact on the environment after public complaints.
