Lagos nabs 25 miscreants with illegal drugs‬

‪The operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps have apprehended 25 miscreants in the Lekki area of the State. ‬

‪The operation was carried out in the early hours of Thursday and recovered some substances suspected to be hard drugs.‬

‪A statement on Thursday by the State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab confirmed that the suspects have been detained and would be charged in court after proper investigation. ‬

‪Wahab wrote, “During the early morning raid of arrested 25 miscreants inside Lekki.

“Substances suspected to be hard drugs were also found on them. They have been detained and appropriate legal action will be taken.”

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps as reported by Dailyeconomy on August 30, deployed surveillance teams to several areas in Lagos in response to reports from concerned citizens, which led to the arrest of 12 miscreants.
