Lagos postpones traffic diversion on Ogudu–Oworonshoki Bridge

The Lagos State Government has announced the postponement of the previously scheduled traffic diversion for repair works on the Ogudu–Oworonshoki Bridge.
The Lagos State Government had earlier announced a traffic management plan to facilitate urgent repairs on the Oworonshoki/Third Axial Bridge.
In a statement released by the State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the repair project is scheduled to commence from Tuesday, 6th May to Tuesday, 23rd September, 2025 (110 days) and will be executed in eight distinct phases.
However, in a statement on Friday, the government said a new date for the commencement of the repair works will be communicated in due course.
The statement reads, “The Lagos State Government wishes to inform motorists that the previously announced traffic diversion for repair works on the Ogudu–Oworonshoki Bridge has been rescheduled.
“A new date for the repair works will be communicated.
“The State Government remains committed to ensuring public safety and minimal disruption during infrastructural upgrades. We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued cooperation.”
