Lagos truck accident: Sanwo-Olu sympathises with victims

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sympathised with families of those affected by the accident which occurred due to the brake failure of a truck in the Ayetoro Market area.

The truck, which was descending from Ita-Opo, was said to have lost its brakes, colliding with a commercial tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry before ultimately crashing into the Aiyetoro market,  resulting in fatalities, Dailyeconomy reports on Monday.

Reacting to the catastrophe, the Governor in a remark on Tuesday, prayed the families find solace in the love and support from people around them.

He wrote, “I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences in light of the tragic traffic accident that occurred in the Aiyetoro area of Epe, Lagos State, yesterday, Monday, November 11, 2024.

“Reports indicate that a cement truck suffered brake failure, resulting in the unfortunate loss of lives and injuries sustained.

“With deep sorrow, I extend my sympathies to the families of those affected. I also pray for the departed souls and for the speedy recovery of those injured.

“May the families find solace in the love and support surrounding them, and may the cherished memories of their loved ones bring them some comfort as they navigate their grief.

My thoughts are with all those impacted by this tragedy.”
