LASG plans physical planning summit in October

The Lagos State Government is set to host a landmark Physical Planning Summit in October, bringing together stakeholders from far and wide to discuss and shape the future of physical planning in the State.

The summit, themed “Lagos, Africa’s Model Mega City: Issues and Prospects,” aims to explore the challenges and opportunities facing Lagos as it strives to become a smart mega city, and  identify strategies for sustainable physical planning and development.

A statement by the Deputy Director,  Public Affairs, Mukaila Sanusi, said, Key issues to be discussed include:

– Urbanisation and its impacts on physical planning

– Innovative approaches to physical planning and urban design

– Stakeholders’ engagement and participation in development plans

– Sustainable development strategies for a resilient Lagos

– Effective governance and policy frameworks for physical planning

The summit promises to be a groundbreaking event, offering a unique opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to the development of a comprehensive physical planning framework for Lagos State.
