The Libya authorities have deported thirteen immigrants including seven Nigerians, three Bangladeshis and three Ghanaians detained at the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre via the Benina International Airport in Benghazi.
Migrant Rescue Watch disclosed this in a terse statement through their X (formally Twitter) account.
The individuals were deported on grounds of violating laws in force in the Libyan State.
The statement reads, “DCIM deported from Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center 13 #migrants (Bangladesh 3, Ghana 3 and Nigeria 7) via Benina International Airport in Benghazi.
“All individuals were deported for violating laws in force in the Libyan state. #migrantcrisis #Frontex.”
Dailyeconomy recalls that the Nigeria Super Eagles had a frustrating 12-hour ordeal at Al Abraq International Airport in Libya where the team has been stranded since arrival on Sunday, October 13.
Reacting to the incident, the Confederation of African Football, on Saturday, October 26, awarded three points and three goals to the Nigeria Super Eagles which did not pose well with Libya.
