Liverpool fans have come together to honour the memory of Diogo Jota on what would have been his 29th birthday, marking the occasion with heartfelt tributes and messages of love for his family.

Jota’s remarkable impact since joining Liverpool in 2020 is deeply remembered.

He scored 65 goals in 182 appearances and played a pivotal role in the club’s triumphant 2024–25 Premier League campaign, as well as their FA Cup and two EFL Cup victories.

The forward and his brother André tragically lost their lives in a car accident on July 3 near Zamora, Spain, a devastating loss to the football community.

The crash occurred after a tyre blowout caused their vehicle to lose control.

Supporters have “continued to celebrate his legacy with chants at matches, retired No. 20 shirts, and the ‘Do It For Diogo’ pledge throughout the season.”

Memorials near Anfield are still adorned with scarves, flowers, and murals, reflecting the deep affection felt for him.

Messages of condolences are directed to his wife Rute, children, parents, and extended family, including André’s loved ones.

Liverpool fans remain committed to keeping Jota’s spirit alive beyond match days, ensuring his contributions to the club and community are never forgotten.
