Liverpool management has officially backed head coach Arne Slot’s assessment to keep Mo Salah out of the squad for a “short period,” following the star forward’s recent outspoken remarks.

It was gathered that the club approved Slot’s position to “maintain the situation under control,” ensuring the matter is handled with discipline and stability.

Fabrizio Romano, a respected football journalist, confirmed that “Salah trained this morning and will do so after the Inter game,” signaling that the situation remains monitored but calm.

Salah is expected to be omitted from Liverpool’s travelling squad for the upcoming match against Inter Milan, a move directly linked to his recent strong statements.

In an interview after being benched for for Leeds match on Saturday, Salah expressed his frustrations with the coach, saying, “I had a good relationship with the manager. All of a sudden we don’t have any relationship. I don’t know why. It seems to me that someone doesn’t want me in the club.”

He also shared a heartfelt message to fans and family, “I said to my parents: come to the Brighton game. I don’t know if I am going to play or not but I am going to enjoy it. I will be at Anfield to say goodbye to the fans and go Africa Cup. I don’t know what is going to happen when I am there.”

Salah further expressed disbelief and disappointment over the treatment he feels he has received, “It’s not acceptable for me. I don’t know why this is happening for me. I don’t get it. I have done so much for this club. I don’t have to go everyday fighting for my position because I earned it. I’m not bigger than anyone.”

Highlighting what he sees as a double standard in media coverage, Salah drew a comparison with Harry Kane, “Can I give an example? It’s silly but I am sorry. I remember a while ago, Harry Kane was not scoring for ten games. The media were like: Oh, Harry will score for sure. When it comes to Mo, everyone is like: He needs to be on the bench. I am sorry Harry!”
