Loaded truck falls in Lagos

A truck loaded with charcoal overturned at New Garage, Ojota towards Maryland, blocking nearly 50% of the road and causing significant traffic disruption in the area.
Officers from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority swiftly towed the truck to their yard in Oshodi.
LASTMA urged motorists to exercise patience as traffic flow is expected to improve along the corridor shortly.
This was made known via a post on the X (formally Twitter) handle of the agency.
It reads, “A truck loaded with Charcoal has fallen on its side at New Garage (Ojota) inward Maryland and claimed almost 50% of the road.
“This is currently dragging traffic backwards LAWMA site for those coming from Tollgate, and also spreading to Ojota underneath the bridge (Tsunami).
“Our personnel are firmly at the location for traffic control and recovery is also expected to commence soon.
Patience is required from all road users.
“The fallen truck at Ojota has been successfully towed to the LASTMA yard in Oshodi, Rapid movement is expected along the corridor.”
