Lookman bags nomination for Forward of the Year award

Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the Serie A Forward of the Year in the prestigious Gran Gala del Calcio Awards.
Lookman was nominated alongside Inter Milan forward duo, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, as well as AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.
Lookman’s club (Atalanta) manager, Gain Piero Gasperini also bagged a nomination for the Coach of the Year award.
Lookman has been in satisfactory form for Atalanta this season.
The 27-year-old has notched eight goals and five assists in 14 appearances across all competitions.
The Nigerian registered 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for La Dea last season.
Dailyeconomy reported that Lookman finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or ranking.
He is the overwhelming favourite to win the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
The Atalanta and Nigeria Super Eagle winger has also been nominated for the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards, jostling with Lionel Messi, Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappé and others.
