Maguire urges Manchester United to go big in summer transfers amid squad rebuild

Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire has called for a transformative summer transfer window, stressing the need for more players and higher quality to bolster the starting lineup.
In an interview with The Athletic, Maguire painted an ambitious picture for the club’s future.
“This summer’s going to be big really, really big. We need more players, we need more quality, we need players to come into the starting eleven,” he noted.
Maguire acknowledged recent progress under the current manager, adding, “We’ve had a great few months under the manager. I feel like the squad is starting to look like something that is a strong squad.”
His remarks underscore internal optimism at Old Trafford, even as he highlights persistent gaps that require reinforcements to truly elevate the team.
