Man electrocuted while holding streetlight in flood

A 61-year-old man met his death for holding onto a streetlight pole while walking through the flood on Wednesday at Orile-Iganmu, Surulere, Lagos State.
The sad incident was shared on Thursday by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin on X (formerly Twitter).
The post read, “During the rain yesterday in Orile-Iganmu, a 61-year old man, while wading through the floods, held on to a street light pole and sadly got electrocuted.”
Hundeyin advised citizens to stay safe and be mindful during this period as it could happen to anyone.
