Modric extends Real Madrid contract till 2025

The Real Madrid attacker and captain, Luka Modric has agreed to extend his contract with Real Madrid till June 30, 2025.

This was unveiled in a statement by Real Madrid on Wednesday through its X (formally Twitter) handle.

The statement read, “Real Madrid C. F. and Luka Modrić have agreed to extend the contract of our captain, who will be linked to the club until 30 June 2025.”

The 38-year-old player arrived at Real Madrid in 2012, and this would be his twelve seasons representing the club.

The Real Madrid and the world football legend has won 26 trophies, including six Champions Leagues and four domestic titles since joining Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2012 and he was the winner of the 2018 Ballon d’Or.

Furthermore, Modric has made 534 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 39 goals, and is an international with Croatia, with whom he has played 178 matches and holds the all-time record for international caps.
