My Euro was a failure — Mbappé speaks after France exit

The France national team attacker and captain, Kylian Mbappé, has said his Euro 2024 tournament was a failure after they were eliminated by Spain yesterday.

Spain had yesterday booked their place in the Euro 2024 final after a 2-1 win over France.

After the match outcome, France’s manager, Didier Deschamps, said the team tried their best with what they had and tried to be as efficient as possible but things didn’t work out for them.

However, while speaking with journalists after the match, Mbappé said, “In football, you’re good or not good. I wasn’t good, my Euro was a failure. I wanted to be the European champion but I will now go on holiday, I will rest well, it will do me a lot of good, then I will get ready to start a new life. There’s a lot to do.”
