The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has published an official list of products that are no longer allowed for manufacture, importation, exportation, distribution, advertisement, sale, or use within Nigeria.
The announcement was made via a post on X, the agency’s official social media platform.
NAFDAC clarified the terms of regulatory action in the statement, “A Certificate of Registration of a product is considered withdrawn when its use is discontinued upon the request of the Market Authorisation Holder.
“A Certificate of Registration may be suspended when the conditions under which the NAFDAC license was issued are no longer met, pending the agency’s determination. A Certificate of Registration is cancelled when the product’s registration license is revoked by NAFDAC.”
The agency urged the public and stakeholders to review the full list of affected products, which is accessible through the provided link: bit.ly/4pylYtQ.
