NAFDAC signs MoU with Cuba to improve pharmaceutical sector

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cuba to improve the pharmaceutical sector and strengthen bilateral ties between both countries.
This was disclosed in a post shared on the NAFDAC X (formally Twitter) handle.
The MoU which was signed by the Director General of NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye and the Cuban Ambassador, Miriam Morales at the Cuban embassy in Abuja on Monday was primarily to facilitate trade relations in the pharmaceutical sector.
The post reads, “The DG of NAFDAC Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye signed an MoU with the Cuban Ambassador, H.E. (Mrs) Miriam Morales at the Cuban embassy, to facilitate trade relations in the pharmaceutical sector and further expand and strengthen bilateral ties between both countries.”
However, Dailyeconomy on July 20, reported that the NAFDAC and the National Counter-Terrorism Centre have renewed their commitment to combat the menace of drug abuse, misuse of chemicals, and alcoholism, which have been traced as major contributors to acts of terrorism.
