NAICOM mourns Buhari

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In an official condolence message, the Commissioner for Insurance and Chief Executive Officer of NAICOM, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, extended heartfelt sympathies to the late President’s family, friends, and the entire Nigerian populace.
“On behalf of the Commission and the entire insurance industry in Nigeria, we mourn the loss of a statesman whose leadership and commitment to national development left a lasting impact,” Mr. Omosehin stated.
He noted that former President Buhari was a strong advocate for economic reform and institutional strengthening, including within the insurance sector, during his tenure.
“His unwavering dedication to building a resilient national economy included critical support for the growth and modernization of the insurance industry. His legacy will continue to guide our efforts in strengthening the sector and contributing to national prosperity,” the statement continued.
Mr. Omosehin concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the late President’s soul and for comfort to those he left behind.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire a stronger, more united Nigeria.”
