Naira abuse: EFCC invites Okoya

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited Subomi and Wahab Okoya, the sons of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya, for questioning over alleged naira abuse.
In a notification signed by the Acting Director of the Lagos Directorate of the EFCC, Michael Wetkas, the agency instructed the duo to appear before the head of the Special Operations Team at its office located at 15A Awolowo Road, Lagos, by 10 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Dailyeconomy had earlier reported that Subomi and Wahab were seen in a viral video abusing the naira while promoting a video for a new song.
The video which featured a police officer holding wads of N1,000 notes as the boys encircled to a tune had elicited outrage on social media.
