The naira was bought and sold at N1,592/$ and N1,595/$ at the parallel market on Friday.

This is according to Bureau de Change Operators who spoke to Dailyeconomy.

The local currency was bought and sold at N2,030/ £ and N2,060/£; it was bought and sold at N1,670/€ and N1,700.

At the Investor & Exporter forex window, the naira hit a high of N1,615/$ before closing at N1,609.29/$, figures obtained from the FMDQ revealed.

A total turnover of $168.63m was recorded on the official trading platform at the close of Friday business according to the FMDQ.
